can't dye any witcher armor

hi! whenever i try to dye any witcher armor, the color never shows. i can apply the dye and everything but the color never actually shows up on the armor. i have the newest version (1.22). the only thing i can think of that might help is if i have the FULL armor set, cause right now im using different ones, like viper armor with wolf trousers, could that be a problem? thanks before hand

Yes I did, you need to have a Grandmaster armor setpiece, only those can be colored, at least in my case

oh okay, thanks for that. I was so excited to find a dye but was really disappointed when I read that you can only dye crafted gear!

You CAN dye the Viper armor. I dyed mine black all 3 playthroughs. The breastplate still reflects green in sunlight, torch light etc.
