I very much recommend the expansions, but even if you bought them now you wouldn't even be ready to delve into any of the expansion content for around 100 hours of gameplay at minimum.
You need for Skellige to complete everything and get every "?" on the map, more then 150 hours. I needed 120 hours but i used also a mod which removed the weight limit but never used fast travel and it is my third run so knew most of treasures and where i can find them
But as i wrote in other threads, for a first run and if it should be a 100% run i would say the main game have 300+ hours if you not using fast travel. Also there a many hidden quest which get be missed because you triggered a other quest.
I missed only one quest because i didn't knew you have to do it before you trigger a other quest. The problem is you have to know which quest you should not trigger but the problem is this quest triggers automatic in a sidequest as a new sidequest.
About the "Skellige with who-knows-what there is" you need everything if you have Blood and Wine because if you sell everything you can get more then 60'000 crown which you need for the 1 1/2 Grandmaster Witcher Sets because they cost you 30-40k per Set.
What I meant is that a game, where people say you can get atleast a minimum of 100 hours from playing it is most likely worth buying because it will keep you busy for a long time.
So there is really no logic in your comment because it is totally wrong :P
You can try it ;)
Ah I understand sorry.
Well I heard sidequests were like the best thing in this game so it would be weird not doing any sidequests or such stuff :p
I mean I already decided I'll buy it but still.
Honestly its kind of funny that nobody can agree on playtime :p
