Witches Blood and Wine: Capture the Castle Won't Start

So I went to do the "Capture the Castle Quest" and when the message came up that this was a turning point in the game, I turned around and decided to finish all the side quests for Blood and Wine. Whenever I go back, no matter the time the quest won't start. I'll walk straight into the barn, press 'x' to talk to Damien and he'll just reply with the standard npc responses like "Welcome to Beauclair" etc etc. Anyone encountered this or anything similar and have some advice? Just want to finish the campaign!

you did say no matter the time the quest won't start. but just to be sure, did you approach the quest location arround midnight?

I did the same thing, I finish secondary quests and go back arround 11pm and able to start the quest.

Yup approached it at 11pm 12am 1am 3 am...still the same result. I'll try attach a vid if I can.
