Is there any way to get rid of all these damn Gwent quests?
I really hate all these Gwent quests that the game keeps throwing at you. If you try to avoid picking them up you can't tell from the map if a notice board has actual relevant quests for you or if it's just Gwent quests still pinned to it. If you do pick them up they clutter up your entire damn quest log with Gwent.

I mean fine if someone enjoys this stuff, but I for one want to kill monsters, not play cards, and this stuff is really annoying by forcing itself into all the notice boards and quest logs and cluttering them up with what is basically a completely different game from what I want to play.

simply there s no way to abandon quests.
already a game cant be something entirely what we want. it has to be how developers wants.

a workaround i can give you dont spam click notice boards. read each and dont pick ones related to gwent. also dont play gwent with major characters to avoid triggering big gwent quests.

I like to clear the notice boards myself. That yellow color just calls out to me.

But...I'm just not a fan of Gwent. So I leave those quests on the board, and just have to live with the yellow.

The problem with not clearing the notice boards is that if you don't grab the Gwent quests from the notice boards they will always show as having new quests on your map, which means you lose the functionality of the map showing you where you still have relevant quests and where you don't.

I wish they had just put the Gwent quests in their own section in the questlog, like Witcher Contracts or Treasure Hunts. That way you could have Gwent Quests without them completely cluttering up the journal.

Or alternatively just have a toggle in the options to get rid of Gwent. It's just not a very fun game for me because you have to spend so damn much time playing the stupid thing to actually do the quests and beat all these ridiculous +10 cards that the quest opponents throw at you.

regional gwent opponents is a notice on board and triggers quests : velen gwent . novigrad gwent. each gives 4 opponents and 4 unique cards to win. there s also playing innkeeps but it can only be triggered if you play with the guy who teaches gwent to geralt. there s passifilora tourney . again from notice board. skellige gwent opponents 4 unique cards again from board again.

i love gwent. and i assure you that you can get many gwent quests from boards.

Not sure what you're trying to tell me there, I'm aware that there are lots of Gwent quests on the boards, which makes it so annoying if you're trying to avoid them.

Nothing you can do about it. Not even complaining will get rid of them.

Best thing to do, is beat everyone. So they clear from your journal and the map.

Because really, like everything else in the game, it isn't hard to do.

It's just not fun to do either. Gwent seems to be more about what cards you have than about what you do with them. You simply can't win if all you have is some Redanian Infantry and your opponent keeps putting down crap that adds +10 or draws every other card by that name out of their deck.

Gwent, fist fighting, horse racing and sexy time are distractions in the game and except for a couple scenes with some main characters not manditory. Gwent has 6 achievements attached to it ,I think, so if you want that ,there you go. First playthrough, I didn't touch gwent at all, playing for the story to complete the series,so I know what you mean. Some people say gwent is easy, especially after they have learned it and it's different strategies and you are right you have to acquire certain cards to be successful, but it is more than just point cards.Acquiring those cards is half of it and then learning how and when to play those cards is the other half. Then again , you can say to hell with it,you have the option ! :Geralt:

one keep only 22 unit cards in deck. Have 3 decoys. Have the double str horns. and few burn cards. Make sure you put as many heros /spy cards as possible in the deck. Make sure your unit cards are 5 or greater. Once you have that you should have very good odds wining any match. Use either black ones or northern deck. Monster/elf/dlc deck have cards that call others which can be blessing or curse. I won games against these decks cause their cards called others that were in his/her hand that drained their hand too fast.

You can enable console command then use cheat to auto win Gwent round. Sure, it still annoying but you can complete all these gwent quest faster.
