Why Spoons?
Blood and Wine is -very- big on spoons. They're everywhere. Why? I'm not complaining, just curious.

This video explains that and some other stuff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQHsmiFJqJc (Spoilers, obviously, the spoon part is around 4:00)

Thanks for that, but it's a review of Hearts of Stone, and it refers to one single instance of a spoon (which may be significant - who knows?). Thanks for trying.

I'm asking about the appearence of spoons in Blood and Wine. They're everywhere - there's millions of them. Quite apart from there being a whole quest based on very little else, they appear all over Toussaint, in large numbers. Why?

Is it some in-joke, a cultural reference, or just that CDPR have someone who's really good at modelling spoons?

yeah sorry I realised later that I completely missed the fact you were talking about Blood and Wine, not Hearts of Stone. I dunno why there are many spoons in that, I havent played it yet, myself. Looking forward to it, tho.

If you collect 500 you get a very special hidden easter egg quest.

Wake up Neo.

Spoons? I just want to know why the entire planet is covered with alchemy powder.

I loved that mission :) This will sound very strange but that "monster" behavior actually was kinda cute

Maybe some mild spoilers, but this is what I understood from playing it.

The begger who turns out to be o'dimm, waited outside the house with a bowl and a spoon, and as the law of hospitality says you should give some food so as not to let him leave hungry.

She refused to give him anything, so o'dimm broke his spoon in half and cursed her.

Where hearts of stone comes in is that you see o'dimm snap a spoon in half after making his deal with Geralt. (That is just CDPR making a future hint at what is to come)

The curse is based on the act that caused it, I.e based on the bowl and spoon.
'No spoon you have will sate you'
She was desperate to lift the curse and she took to finding every spoon she could and hoarded them, and it became an obsession. And it didn't stop as no spoon would work.

Yes, agreed. Although I didn't realise the beggar was O'Dimm. And that explains the spoons in that particular quest. But as I said earlier, you don't just find spoons in that quest. You can find them all over Toussaint, in large numbers. There weren't large numbers of spoons in the main game, but in Toussaint, there are. Why?
