Removing oil from sword? (ANSWERED)
So does anyone know if they finally implemented something to be able to remove oil from a sword? I'm going for the Even Odds achievement. But now the stat, that used to be removed once a blade oil was expired, remains on the blade but with 0/60 charges.


ANSWER

Putting the sword in your stash will remove the oil!

Have you tried to do the achievement despite the 0 charges of the oil on the sword? Cause it is possible that the 0 charges is the same thing as having no oil.

I should have just gotten it now. But the quest had my weapons taken then returned and now the "stat" provided by the oil is gone. I guess I'll just keep at it.

Well I got it finally. As it was stated in a lot of other posts on many sites, just keep doing contracts. My guess is that it may be that some don't count towards this achievement. Like the one that you get from the guard that asks for the pass accross the pontar. The one that turns out it's just Scoiatel, not a monster. I'm guessing no "boss" monster = invalid for acievement.

I know this discussion is pretty old, but I just tried dropping it and picking it up again and it works too!

It works with 0/60 charges too though, just did it a few days ago.

There's an achievement for not using key mechanics of the game ? That's weird. I am not an achievement hunter, but I know that TW3 is centered around crafting alchemy and fight preparation, using oils and decoctions...

There is an achievement that challenges you to kill 2 contract bosses only using your sword and food. No potions, signs, oils or bombs.
