The hardest boss/enemy that you fought?
Just curious which enemy you thought was the toughest to fight.

For me it was the Werewolf during "Wild at Heart" for which I was heavily underprepared. No Cursed oil and a very low chance of Igni burning him. While I didn't have to reload the mission, it took me several minutes to take him down while having maybe 5% health left with no healing items what so ever. Also the wolves that arrive with him were one hell of a task.

The toad and caretaker in HoS were equally hardest for me.

Isn't Cursed oil the chosie for werewolves?

I had issues with the crones. something about how ciri handles made it hard for me.

last boss of b&w for me, a nightmare in death march and a sign build...
Iris's Nightmare - B&W of course. Play it on DM and 1 mistake cost you one replay the save

Practically anything in B&W. Made even worse during the final quest strands. Had to resort to using a relic sword by the end of it because my grandmaster sword was broken. I was woefully under prepared for near constant battle through out the whole ordeal with no repair kits.

Grotore, that bloody spriggan spawning archesporis was a pain to kill... Having to dodge both god what a task.
Other then that one I would say the toad king

In Vanilla....probably the White Orchard Griffin.

With a balance overhaul mod, either the toad prince or Ofieri Mage.

Every boss was super easy, even on DM. If I had to choose it would be probably the HoS mage boss.

I haven't played the expansions yet so to me, the Djinn in 'The Last Wish' was a tough one. I had to turn off enemy upscaling. He would one shot me even with Quen active.

The boss in BaW Detlaff True Demon form Phase 1 hardest ♥♥♥♥ ever and I was only on Blood and Broken bones difficulty and I died around 30 times.

Playing on DM - first playthorugh - tank build.
Dosnt worked out after all - since enemys do so much damage on DM...

Died the Most to the last boss of the main quest - by far.
Had 2 much hp for the damage I put out - and fight ended up to be so long that I did some little misstakes wich ended up to kill me instantly.

Other than that - the toad was hard the first try - but I realized quiet fast u can just dodge left everytime and hit between - made me invincible...

Most deaths go to gravity.

Hardest boss was the damn targeting and spiny move that Geralt likes to do for no reasons. All 'hard' HoS and BaW bosses have been one shot for me on DM.

On my 1st playthrough Jenny O' The Woods gave me a hell of a time untill i figured out Yrden and dodged and rolled like crazy. The only other memorable one was my 1st encounter with the CHort in the cave, because I was a few levels too low and he killed me with 1 or 2 hits every time.
So far i have played only Vanilla and HOS.Yesterday i start blood and wine.

The hardest boss for me was the toad. The main game on DM was pretty simple, so simple that this aspect drain the fun. I dont expect a Dark Souls like challenge as I start the game in DM , but in vanilla, there was absolutly no challenge.

Luckyly they increase the difficulty in the first expansion. Maybe even a bit to strong. The toad was for me a harder challenge then the most Dark Souls Bosses. I only beat him by kiting with Igni after 3 hours try. I personaly like hard difficults, but this balance issue hurts the atmosphere.

Every single bandit in Hos is able to beat the hell out of the Wild Hunt :D . But i dont want blame CD for this, it is nearly impossible to balance a open world RPG proper.

From my point of view i like the game much more then Skyrim. The story and the charakters are in every point much better. Even small Quests have a better story telling then the best storys in Skyrim. But the balance between story cutscenes and fighting ist not always good. Sometimes i feel me like plying an interactive movie and not an RPG. I dont want that they cut content, but i want more fighting encouters in future games.

The game need more and harder enemys in the main Quest. And some of extreme hard bosses like the toad should become optional. Optional boses can became even more harder then the toad.

The game need a different fighting system too. Quen and using the b button make the player nearly invulnerable in the most fights. Quen needs a hard debuff ( like prevent only 50 % of taken damage, or a passive skill who blocks a hit every 30-60 seconds) or should be change with a healing spell. Enemys should often more hit the player if he jumps back. Or the jump should be cost stamina.

Donst understand me wrong, maybe my words are a bit too hard. The Whitcher 3 is the best single player game that i played in the last years. But in the fighting systems and in the balance there is some space to improve the game.

Like i said i start playing blood and wine yesterday. Overall i am very happy so far. Bruxa was a very good challenge. Not so hard like the toad, but much harder then the main game. Maybe i change my view after i finish it.
