Difference when buying expansion pass vs individual expansions?

Since currency exchange is a bit harder to discuss here, I will convert them to units.

Expansion pass is worth 640 units.
Heart of Stone is 350 units
Blood and Wine is 650 units

If I buy HoS and BnW separately it would cost me 1000 units, far more than buying the expansion pass. Can anyone tell me the difference if I buy it individually vs buying the expansion pass? Thank you.

No difference at all. You get the same extras, the same content. As you pointed out, main difference is a rather steep price difference.

The whole point of a pass, be it an expansion pass or a season pass, as some other games have, is that you get that extra content at a discounted price.

You demonstrated that for yourself. Buying the pass will get you both expansions for less money than it would cost if you'd bought them separately. And that's the whole point, to save you money and encourage you to buy both of them.

You said to 'encourage us to buy both of them' meaning the expansion pass?

If you buy expansion pass, you get B&W and HoS. I had the same deal, it was $5 cheaper to buy the pass than to buy the expansions separately.

Also there is no difference at all.

The difference is you give money to the developers before they release content to either:
A) Encourage them to do a better job.
B) Encourage them to do a lousier job, after all they already got their money.

Pick one. Well I'm only talking about buy pass before expansion is released.
