I think there might be a bug. I can break things down into venom extract, and I can pick up acid extract off of corpses, but I think these are supposed to be the same.

Yeah must be a bug, Archespore Tendrils dismantle into Venom Extract for me as well, but someone has posted an image of them dismantling into Acid Extract here: http://i.imgur.com/hmodIdK.png and it has a different icon.

The Grandmaster merchant is meant to sell it, but haven't checked.

Can confirm that the Grandmaster Smith stocks Acid Extract, he had 4 when I went in and after meditating outside for 2 or 3 days he restocked it.

*Edit - Just discovered that you can also dismantle Monster pincers!

Go into the dismantel option and look trough monster parts you can dismantel. I have over 200 of what you need. It is not that rare tbh. Cheers.

Can't remember the exact monster part, but pincers dismantle into acid extract as do about half a dozen other things.

Yeah got the same problem, no matter what I dismantle, it's all venom extract, the 2 other blacksmiths in the city do stock it as well though so you can get a bunch rather quickly between the three of them without to much running around.

I'm pretty sure I was able to dismantle stuff to get more acid extracts just fine. I don't remember the exact monster parts I used, though.

you can get it from giant centipede mandable. it drops from the big centipedes

Dismantle Giant Centipede Discharge (It's like a blue bottle, very similar in shape to the Acid extract).

You get it from Giant Centipede dismantling.

And another Blood and Wine monster. Can't remember which one.

It's really easy to get.
