Yennefer is just a friend in Blood and Wine expansion?
just played the Blood and Wine expansion before doing the quest to make Yennefer my woman.
so a quest in Blood and Wine(spoiler) a kid gives me a letter from a friend. and it was from Yennefer(you know when in game someone reads a letter and the voice reading it is the sender?, it was Yennefer) saying she is just a friend to me telling me about a new witcher mutation. I was wondering if I did the quest for me to be with Yennefer is the Yennefer being a friend only change? does anyone playing Blood and Wine who is with Yennefer now different than my letter?

In my letter she called herself "mine", and called me "dearest". So unless she is very friendly, she is very much still my love interest.

My letter was from Triss because I chose her in the main game.

Could be worse.. Like being teleported above a lake and dropped.

I see so the letter corresponds to the way you act.. I did the triss quest and didn't choose her. and so that leaves me with Yennefer..and since I still haven't done her quest and choose her, the
letter is of friends only.. this is actually weird cause I left Yennefer at the werewolf quest in skillege, she still is standing in that big tree.. how can she send me a letter when I left her there? hahahaha but anyway LOVING the way they put this together. I'm even wondering If I should restart the Blood and Wine and finish Yennefer's quest first hehe

The ultimate question is what is the game doing in B&W when you have slept with both in the maingame?

friendhip is magic

I wonder if they both send you a snotty letter, if you cheat on them both in the main story arc, would be interesting to find out :P

Haha, maybe Dandelion sends the letter, since Yen and Triss hates your guts. It would be even better if it was Zoltan. :claugh:

Yen sends the letter, but speaks in a matter-of-fact way.

Came here from Google. For anyone seeing this and wondering, there's a joke about Geralt writing "Dear Friend" in a letter to Yen and she tortures him with it when she writes letters. It's from the book Blood of Elves.

I think she says "Your Yen"

there are 3 different letters:

1. if you romance triss, you get a sweet love letter from her
2. if you romance Yen, you get a sweet love letter from Yen (Dearest, and signed Your Yen)
3. if you romanced neither (or havent gotten to that point in the story), you get a letter from Yen with 'Dear Friend' and signed 'Your Friend'.

Its worth finishing the base game before blood and wine, especially the romance part for the ending of the whole game. After all, blood and wine is supposed to be played after everything else is finished as it is the final farewell for Geralts story. You will understand why when you finish it :)

I would definitely suggest finishing at least the base game and then start blood and wine again. You can do heart of stone anytime you like as its not linked if you don't want to play them in order :)

I finished the main game and Hearts of Stone before doing Blood and Wine. In the main game, I blew it with both Triss and Yen by telling Triss I loved her instead of "try again" then doing Yen at Kaer Korhen afterward. I got the "threesome" quest and dumped forever by both. The letter I got from the kid was signed "Your friend, Yen".

is there any way to get your romance choice to carry into blood and wine that doesn't involve replaying the entire game or loading a previous save that will set me back 30 hours? because romanced yennefer, beat the main quest the hearts of stone now i got to blood and wine, i already had to restart my game because letho was dead in my first attempt because i chose the wrong save file when transferd my witcher 2 data and it took me 3 months to get back where i left off, i know i won't have to spend nearly as much time if i go back since i can just choose a file right before the end of the base game and just do blood and wine up to where you get the letter, but i'm just sick of having to waste my time having to start all over because of some minor ♥♥♥♥ up, but will that even work if i beat the base game again the go pick up where i left off in blood and wine will the romance even still carry over will still have the same problem? i don't even know why the game is programmed so that after you beat the base game your romance choices is considered null especially when your supposed to play blood and wine after, so if anyone knows a way you can fix this without starting everything over let me know, because i just wanna play the and not waste 20-40 hours to get back where i left off.
