Side Quest: The warble smitten knight

Have anyone managed to win the skirmish? I've replayed it and won like 10 times but the NPC keep declaring the opposing team as winners.

I had to yield and lower the difficulty level on that one.

My suggestion is to focus on the Spear knight first, since his attacks are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the Axe knight second, since your attacks are bound to go through, provided that you're not spamming fast-attack on him, and the third, fourth and fifth is just slash, then roll back. Doesn't matter if you hit them, missed them or they blocked you. Just keep doing 1 attack then rolling back.

Just in general, don't be too greedy when you attack. It can, and will, bite you in the ass.

I've had nothing but problems with this quest. In order:
1. During the marksmanship contest, the target furthest up and to the left simply will not go down no matter what. Always lose that one by default.
2. Actually hitting the dummies during the race was a pain, but doable.
3. I've completely slaughtered Palmerin's team during the combat contest on three different difficulties now, but because of the automatic loss of the first contest, I still lose the tournament and can't face off with the damn Mountain analogue.

Sent a bug report, and hopefully the quest is fixed soon.

Interesting, ya i thought about sending waiting for a fix but that'll be way too long. I ended up just progressing through and finish the quest. The sword reward seem to be cool, maybe someone will release in a mod or give the code to add it

Just got this issue, and solved it. I had the immersive cam mod, it prevented me from hitting the upper left target in archery. I move the mod folder temporarily out of the game directory and replayed the archery and I was then able to hit that damn target. Hope this helps!!!! :)

so you have to win all three parts to be able to square off against the champion not 2/3, thats a right royal pain in the a***

I won the archery and the horse race parts. But i cant win the arena fight, I take out all of the knights on the opposite team but yet i dont win at the end and cant play the final fight.

Yeah, this quest needs some serious overhauling.

Hell, I'm lucky that the only bug I encountered was that I couldn't do a practice run of the horse race.

I saved after each event, so I wouldnt have to redo all,and save just before the fight and if the glitch happens , just reload the save befor the fight

Just started this quest. Everything went smoothly and I did not encounter any bugs. I did however get greedy during the skirmish before the final duel and ended up losing. Tried to reload the save right before and the game crashed with no windows error message or anything. Decided I should go eat something. Hoping when I load up I won't face any issues.

Ok, so CDPR got back to me a few days ago, and apparently this issue is resolved by turning off on-screen tutorials. Haven't had a chance to test it yet, but it will likely be fixed in the upcoming patch.

Any progress has been made? I have the same issue and shutting down on-secreen tutorials did not solve the problem. It seems problem was not solved 1.22 either. So maybe in 1.23?

The on-screen tutorial trick worked for me.
