Help - my Blood and wine graphics are really bad!
He all...

I'm not sure if it is my standards, my graphics or just the game itself..but i noticed that I personally find the new graphics of blood and wine really (and I mean really really) bad.

If you look at the two screen below you probably see what I mean:

https://www.mupload.nl/img/mu0xlrqmobt2l.png

This only happens at the blood and wine expansion. The normal game runs the same still. Only after I entered toussaint this occurred.

Any idea how i can fix this?

thanks

lol ..You want the terrain to look exactly the same. Varied terrain is nice.

nah man. I understand the terrain changes...But if you look at gerald outfit for a change it is just not "sharp" anymore. like going from HD back to a '90's movie.

Thanks for you responds.
Can't say i agree with it, since personally i see many differences, placed the pictures next to each other for clearification.
https://www.mupload.nl/img/kn5jjernvvjmz.png

example: no stiches in the leather in the new expension (on shoulder patches, sleeves, bottom of the shirt etc, they are either non-visible or hard to see). no details on the leather sidepatches (trousers),..different colors (new expension seems more...faded, like washed clothing). And when you walk all those details faid even more.

But if you don't see it that cool. But I was hoping for somebody who does see differences and could help me get the settings the same

That's because the sharpening filter doesn't work in Toussaint.

Can't see any differenses. Graphics are horrible in both screenshots. Only differense is indeed sharpening is on in second screenshot.

Yep. And someone over at the official CDPR forums received confirmation from the technical support that they're aware of the issue and working on a fix.

Yes blood and wine does look low res and blurry compared to the base game... sharpening is not working sure but I dnt know if that's the only case..btw you will see sharpening in blood and wine during the tesham mutna quest late game...dont want to give spoiler so just named the quest:steammocking:

I did right click on witcher 3 in steam then properties and under local files clicked on verify integrity of game files and it helped, the graphics are now ok!

Blood and Wine was rushed to release. CDPR showed a rough cut of a demo about two or three months before it was released and claimed at that time that the expansion was still several months away. Several news media outlets at the time commented on the rough cut and hoped it would improve on release. However that didn't happen and the expansion came out sooner than expected with the result looking very much as it did in the rough cut demo.

So yeah, it looks bad and I fully agree with you despite what the fanboys claim, that it looks absolutely gorgeous. I think it's washed out, dull, the sky looks disgusting and this whole idea of a fairy tale land does not justify it looking like some bad LSD trip.

But there you go. Please give them some more awards for a job half done.

Per your usual, you are wrong once again.
The only place I could find a reference to several months was to an article title, and they linked to a Twitter post where the developers said more news in the coming months and the release was still planned for first half of the year. This was all nearly 3 months before release. But even then several just means more than 2 but not many so I guess that article was technically right. But you are still wrong about it being rushed.
