I watched a video of the quest and the part of the wall you're supposed to blow away with aard is coverd op with a large closet. Any fixes known?

I think after a few upgrades Geralt gets to know about the lab behind the wall and that's when it can be opened with aard.

I also have this problem. I already active quest, see area of secret room, but stupid large closet block the way. Save/load does not help. Crap.

You need to upgrade one of the parts at least once, I think it's the house. Whichever upgrade gives you new paint on the house is the one you want. Once it's done, talk to your steward, he will tell you they found something in the cellar, then you can destroy the wall.

By now I've upgraded the house fully and not only can I not enter te cellar room, it still simply looks unupgraded. I compared it yet again to a walthrough video and I think this is a major bug where the house doesn't upgrade

During the upgrades, after first big part where you have to wait 3 days for renovations, when you interact again with Majordomo the dialogue about lab in the cellar should trigger.
You can then go and check the cellar now or after second big part fo updates.
Before this dialogue this place will be always covered by closet, after this dialogue - closet will be gone amd a wall that needs breaking will wait for you.
If it doesn't work that way for you try contacting customer support with a save, they will help ;> http://en.cdprojektred.com/contact-support/

I was aware of how the quest progressed, thanks, it just seems to be bugged in some way. I did however hand in a bug report to cd projekt red a few hours ago. They replied they are looking into this. So I hope it 'll be fixed by the next patch

I have the same problem, I know where the wall is, but there's a cupboard in front of it preventing me from destroying the wall.

It might also be related to the fact that the Corvo Bianco upgrade is supposedly done, but I still see it run-down.

Did you leave the DLC area during the time it was being upgraded? That's caused problems for some people.

It's exactly what I did, eventually had to do over 5 hours of game play but the issue is resolved. Someone should put a diclaimer somewhere I think cause that was really annoying

Same for me ...

I was indeed in Velen or Skellige when the news reach me that the house had been upgraded.

Bugged for me as well - was finishing horse races in Skellige when the house upgraded. But I am NOT going to replay all those hours. *sigh*

The upgrades in there are so worth it.
