A knight's Tales - missing dialogue option

So I started the quest a Knight's tales with the tree that is apparently a woman cursed. I played the quest and got a -bad- ending (i tried to lift the curse myself and ended up fighting a wraith). I like knowing what are the other endings so i looked it up on the internet and saw that when you talk to the witch at some point there are 3 options. You can threaten her, ask her nicely to help you or say you'll lift the curse yourself.
Point is when I saw the which I only had two options, didn't have the option to be nice. I reloaded that part just to see what could trigger this but had no success in it.
Does anyone know to what the appearance of the third option is linked ?

If you don't get the option to ask her nicely, there is another way to recieve the good ending:
Tell the witch you want to lift the curse yourself. Then go to the cave down the hill and look for the bones of Daphnes husband. Later when you go back to the cursed tree, Geralt burns the napkin AND the bones. This should give you the good ending as well.

Thanks for the tip. I tried to go to the cave before talking to the witch and couldn't do anythign there but didn't try after. I will try

You might not have a choice in wanting the good ending for the ghost without humbling yourself

Ah, I suppose that's the best you can do then, that's what I like about the witcher, the game rarely gives us what we want :P

where are the bones exactly in the cave? i went in and when i turned on the witcher senses after killing the bugs in there all i got was a lot of their eggs. did not got any interactions so i burned them. did a search and all i found was a sward, coins and some herbs. no bones. in the hut there was some bones crushed to dust but i did not got the option to loot it.

If I remember correctly, on top of a small ledge inside the cave, though I do not remember exactly

its on the right side when you have entered the cave, its pretty high so you dont immediately see it so you need to go up twice on a ledge, on the first stands a chest and one higher you see the skeleton, the cave is southwest under the witch her home on the map, hope this helped.

Nevermind, it didnt work for me, Daphne still turned into a wraith, what did work for me was to read the book before you go into the hut and you examine everything in the witch her hut, then you need to be as nice as possible to the witch and then you can burn the bones. That gives the best ending.

I did find the bones even after saying that i will lift the curse myself and she still became a wraith for me :(

You need to read the book, ask the witch about the knight, bring back his bone from the cave, and not kill the witch in the process. That's how to get the good ending. You don't need to beg her, you just need to do everything the same way you would with her help. Not even sure the book is required unless you want to beg for her help.
