As soon as I saw her face, by the way, I thought "damn, she looks just like this lady from the trailer..."
And when she began singing her tune towards the end of the game I was completely dead over how amazing CDPR's writing is. Really, really cool turn of event.
Yeah I am inclined to agree with you, fantastic writing and tbh a fitting end to her story.
Also, it does not look like the barn in the trailer, not nearly like it. That barn is way bigger and does not have a similiar roof. I'm pretty sure it's not the same situation. Maybe Geralt begins to hunt her in that hut, but she escapes and he finishes her off elsewhere.
I would really really like to "rewatch" the Night to remember trailer ingame, if you know what I mean :D Yes, Geralt told her that next time they meet, he will kill her, but I sadly think that only refer to the trailer, also the music, what its played, when he said that is from the trailer as well. I would guess now, because the game didnt show us next quest after that with objective to kill her later, that sadly it´s all been only prequel quest to the trailer, some sort of "devs easter egg" to show players, that they still remember their trailers and that that one was from Toussaint. Or maybe if we,players, will find that house from starting menu, there will be only clues after the fight, idk. Btw I have the start menu with Geralt meditating before fight with her since I bought BaW, not when I finished the dlc (still didnt). On the other hand, the hut is different than in the trailer, could be because the trailer was released year or so before the DLC and so,but then why change the house? It could be lead, so if anyone find it ingame, please share it here, or any other information. It would be a super cool easter egg, if the trailer would be playable. Its CDR after all :)
Absolutely was not like that for me, I had the heart of stone one even with the main game and the DLC cleared. Played the game over a number of days and it did not change until I finished the main story. Dont know why but for me and a number of other people thats the case.
Maybe it was a bug, maybe you didn't notice. What I do know is that me, like many, could see Orianna on the menu before beating the DLC.

Is in Russian, but you can see that it was uploaded the day of release and notice the DLC screen you get whenever you install the expansion. And there she is, our dear Orianna.
If im honest I dont really care. Im not sure why you seem so adament to prove me wrong when I know that it didnt change for me until I beat the game. It has nothing to do with what the focus of my post is about anyway, it was an opening comment on what I was seeing and how it got there. End of discussion.
Because you mentioned that, simple. Take it or leave it.
P.S: robse100 great taste in profile pics :D
