Extreme Cosplay - I have the shield but I cannot use it

I am at the point where you need to draw the sword and shield in the re-enactment, and I have both. I have equipped and drawn the sword, I have equipped the shield in my "pocket" as it is the only slot available to me. I have selected the shield in current items, but I cannot grasp it to trigger the next step.

I am on a PS4. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

You should be able to activate it by activating the item like you would with a quickshoot on a crossbow, or quick throw a bomb.

Having the same problem on PC. Can't activate it like I would any other item in the pocket slot.

I figured it out. You have to actually go to the quick menu and change the shield to the active pocket item instead of the mask.

Hello im in the exact same quest and i had no trouble, just double click the elven sword and the shield, then draw the sword, then go to the quick menu and select the shield, then click the middle mouse button for activating it, the same you click for activating keyras lamp or the horn for sirens or any other quest item, geralt will draw the shield.

But my problem is the second life mutation doesnt seem to work, im not sure if its only in this quest or in general, if anyone gets the same i aprecciate some help.

The shoot button was the step I was missing.

Press number 1 on a PC keyboard draws the sword. Thanks guys through your suggestions I worked it out as well. I drew the shield but not the sword
