"Goodness, Gracious, Great Balls of Granite!" Status effect?

Once you find the "Great Balls of Granite" and give them to the sculpture, wait a few days then return you can touch them, this gives you some sort of status shown by the leaf symbol in the corner of your screen. What does this do exactly?

I believe it makes it so stamina doesn't deplete while sprinting. Signs still have the same regeneration time in combat for me so I'm not sure about regen for signs.

If you visit the ladies of negotiable affection you'll find you have different ending scenes where they are loathed to let you leave :)
