women use to dress like that in ancient times, showing off their assets and more, plus sex sales

To be honest the problem is more that the ratio of pretty women to handsome guys must be 500 to 1, almost every male is a ugly, stinky peasant, and even the important characters are ugly too. W2 at least had Iorveth :steammocking:

And that answers why Ves dresses as she does or the oneiromancer? Come on, guys.

Hey, if you've got it, flaunt it. Those two are just proud of their bodies and there's nothing wrong with that. Why don't you attack the women who wear reavling clothes today in real life or the men who like to show off their bodies when they go to the beach?

For the same reason Edward and Christian Grey fall in love with the heroines of their stories. Entertainment media exists to be entertaining, not to make good sense.

Why are some people ashamed of entertainment media being entertaining? Do they think we don't deserve nice things?

Good question.

I guess people just look for something to complain about, otherwise their life feels empty and insignificant. And probably it's their last line of defense against the cruel world that forces them to have some fun.

HOW COME THE ONLY WOMEN WHO THINK WOMEN ARE OBJECTIFIED are women that would never be objectified themselves, except maybe at a best in show. I take hot scantily clad women much more serriously for several reasons.

And what about Geralts bulging cod peice.

Well yes. Keira is all about the ego; she seduces Geralt for no other reason than she can.
I saw no reason for that scene other than seduction and no need for Keira to do the whole "i wanted to do something special for you" thing with the dinner
She wanted to do something special for herself, not Geralt. She's quite blunt about that fact, even going so far as to point out the only reason Geralt is involved is because he's the first man she's had contact with in some time who isn't a mere peasant (and therefore likely to actually appreciate fine wine and the like) and even then she makes it quite clear she still finds him a little boorish.
That titilation factor is what bothers me most.
That would seem to be entirely your problem ...

And we're talking about a videogame here. To talk about real life would be off-topic.
Yet there's numerous cultures throughout history who entered battle quite literally naked.

I think Ves' costume is riffing off the classical Errol Flynn style swashbuckler. To be honest it makes about as much sense as anything else - Witcher 3 hits the usual silliness of having a setting where people can literally chuck fire and lightning around with pinpoint accuracy and yet troops still bother wearing full plate armour for some reason. Considering we abandoned it when faced with slow, ineffective firearms which could just about send a large lump of rock in your general direction six times in ten under ideal conditions you'd think the mere presence of mages in the world would lead to most armies preferring lightning rods and fire buckets to anything resembling medieval armour.

There was a lot of political correctness in Witcher 3, actually. A heterosexual transvestite accepted by all, a gay guy who wasn't super camp and had interests that extended beyond getting his bonk on, women legitimately enjoying sex because they like the way it feels and are aokay with their dude having casual sex with other women (except 1 lawl), a master armor crafter in Skellige oppressed by her incompetent male superior who only had that position because of his genitals, Cerys being the more cool-headed ruler rather than her hottheaded brother or the brash Crach, etc etc.

It was handled more subtly than DA:I, but it expressed almost exactly the same politics. There's a good article about it on RPS if you're interested:

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/06/08/women-of-the-witcher-3/

And yet Keira was depicted as running around barefoot and chose to try and seduce Geralt for no good reason other than the sex because she could have easily avoided him ever finding out about her true reason for involving him in Fyke Isle to begin with by simply not trying to seduce with that meal -- so near the isle that an idiot, let alone Geralt, could immediately figure out that she must be up to something and therefore needed to cast a spell on him in order to do it.

Talk about really stretching it for a possible sex scene. It even begins with Keira flashing her naked bod as she bathes in front of Geralt, again something totally unnecessary and thrown in just for the gratuitous partial nudity. It makes it appear that these women are not only sexually liberated, but acting like s luts is perfectly fine when it comes to using men. Which I guess is my whole point. If men in the game ran around trying to seduce every women they encountered, they'd be labeled as cads. If they used spells or trickery to get these women into bed, it would be even worse. But since women are the ones doing it, most heap praise on them for being liberated while throwing out the idea that it wouldn't be equally praised if done by men.

I saw no reason for that scene other than seduction and no need for Keira to do the whole "i wanted to do something special for you" thing with the dinner and the extra quest for him to track down her supplies and then trying to seduce him right across from Fyke Isle and using a spell on him so he would sleep.

The oneiromancer in particularly was a joke to me. At least Tomira wore decent clothing as befits someone in her position. But Corrinne Tilly, looked like she was definitely in the wrong line of work. If there was to be no opportunity for Geralt to bed the lady, then why on earth have her dress like that? It made no sense and just objectified her in a way that also made no sense since her sexuality played no part in the quest. She was there act as a conduit for a dream for Geralt. The one reason for her being there was to hold his hand so there could be a connection between and that's the one thing she didn't do. But she did flash those bare thighs and breasts. I'm sure 12 year old boys playing the game enjoyed that.

However, how many of you recall your first reaction to seeing Yen and Triss in their alternate DLC outfits in the game? Most came here on these very forums to complain how inappropriate the outfits seemed in the context of the game. There's a time and place for seduction, for sensuality and for sex. But to pose that all women should flash their breasts and thighs and then pretend that they will be taken seriously by anyone in any other context is a joke.

That titilation factor is what bothers me most.

Kiera actually wanted to ♥♥♥♥ Geralt's brains out in the books. So it's apt there is a sex scene.
