Still don't understand why it would even matter that at least one of Cleaver's disposable henchmen survives, but w/e, this time they all live to happily get stuck on some other gate some other time.
Turned in the quest.. got a whopping TWO experience points, and 300 Crowns to add to my 18,000. Woohoo!

Does he really strike you as such a sentimental guy? There were like 20 of Junior's goons in that arena. If Geralt slaughtered them all, put one of Junior's sources of incomes out of commission, and it only cost Cleaver 4 of his own guys, I'm pretty sure he'd call that a good trade.
Also, lore aside, it's obviously gamey as hell. If 4 dwarfs die, boohoo you failed! But if any one of them survives, doesn't even matter which one, then that's perfectly fine!
