Is there even a way to get into Devil's Pit?
I have spent like an hour trying to find a key to unlock the big hous there and the doors accessing the mines. I googled to see if there was maybe a guide and turns out that noone has gotten in(only people that have are the noclipers). Is this mine supposed to be saved for further DLC missons?

There's nothing there. Someone actually made a mod that added a quest to it and they made a full dungeon out of it, not sure where that mod is though, try Nexus.

Some buildings are "locked" but there doesn't seem to be anything actually to them. I guess they're sort of placeholders for potential future content or w/e. I had a similar experience with that locked windmill back in White Orchard. T.T

I believe it was not finished because they left it to be developer for one of the free DLCs, like "Fool's Gold" or "Where the Wolf and Cat Play" or whatever they are called. Obviously, for some reason they didn't to it so it remained an oversized bandit camp with inaccesible areas.
It's just a lore-friendly way of saving development time. If I find a locked building I turn away. If I happen to come across a key nearby, great. If I don't, oh well. The rest of the world is huge and it's not worth hanging around for a door that will probably never open.

I'm glad they left this unfinished though. The level being impossible to clear, and full of humans, is a huge help in finishing off some of the achievements.

The wiki actually tells you that it was part of a cut questline, so they repurposed it.
