Can you find Jenny of the Woods killer?

I know you have to put her down, but they said the killer ran off and disappeared. Is it possible to bump into him later or does his character no exist as an NPC?

According to the wiki, she was killed in 1272, and that's the year the war began. Given that the village used to be part of Temeria, and that we know her murderer ran off afterwards, I'm guessing his body's on a battlefield somewhere. But that's just a guess, as we really don't know.
