Even Odds achievement not unlocking

Hi everyone.
I know this has been an issue for some people already, and I've read some threads speaking about it, however I can't find any solution to this matter.
I'm trying to unlock the achievement, but after 4 witcher contracts completed, still nothing.
I made sure I wasn't using any potions, bombs, oils, signs. I even unequipped my crossbow and mutagens in my ability slots.
I'm playing on NG+ on Death March difficulty. The contracts I've completed only with my silver sword were the ones with the cockatrix in Velen, the Doppler thief in Novigrad, the Hag in the cemetery near the chaman in Velen.... And yet, no achievement. This is seriously getting on my nerves.

Anyone can help me figure this out ?

What finally did the trick for me, was no runes in BOTH swords.
Craft two fresh new swords, equip both and try again.
If that doesn't work, I'm stumped too...

I finally got it. I had swords with oil on them in my inventory, but obviously I wasn't using them. A friend recommended I took them off my inventory as well. Turns out I got the achievement after doing a contract with no oiled sword in my inventory.
Pretty weird that the game wouldn't give me the achievement for having a weapon oiled in my inventory, when I didn't use it to slay any monster. But anyway, I'm glad I've got it now.
