As for money, the best way to get more coin is to do the Witcher Contracts and Side Quests, instead of just rushing through the Main Story.
Eventually, you'll have enough coin that you can start dismantling everything, and thus by the time you'll eventually find all the truly worthwhile, read: endgame, crafting schematics, you should have most if not all of the required components ready to go.
All that said, the most important advice for TW3 I can give you is:
Take. Your. Time.
Don't rush this game, take your time and really immerse yourself in its world.
It will be worth it.
Good advice. I never rush - I'm a bit of a completionist. Already found lots of goodies just exploring all the question marks on the map around White Orchard.
Be careful not to sell everything though, certain items like sea shells are far more valuable when dismantled into pearls/black pearls which be sold for a sh*t ton. Also some of the late game armours also dismantle into slyzard/draconid hides (I forget which one) but this is super important for crafting some items such as mastercrafted witcher gear in toussaint.
Good. Don't miss the Gwent. It is easy to learn and full of fun
Ah ok yeah - good advice there, thanks.
Be careful though not to stray into wholesale rackets with those pearls... the Income & Revenue Service might have a problem with that. ;)
