Please help - Ciri is getting her ♥♥♥ kicked - cannot get god mode to work on her

I have played Witcher 3 four times now and am on my fifth game. I absolutely love it. At 71 yrs old, my reflexes have slowed a bit, but I can still hold my own, most of the time.

I am in the Crookback bog as Ciri, shortly after Ciri escapes from the crones out a window before they eat her feet. I am facing at least 6-7 tough drowners and a bunch of Wild Hunt critters who keep spawning, and no matter how I play, fight, charge around the outside to avoid them, swipe periodically to hit one, they are killing me time and time again (14 times and counting). Likewise, my hits seem pretty weak. It takes me at least 10 hits to kill a drowner and while I am trying, two of its hits kill me, Also, the "Blink" skill does not seem to work. Maybe that is because I am never at full vitality.

I cannot move off from the area to restore vitality cause the crones kill me if I try to leave.

I have already lowered game skill to "Just the story" (the easiest setting).

I cannot do this anymore and want to activate God mode on the console. My nerves are shot. I know the console works at least on Geralt because I was able to type commands that worked when I play him earlier. However, as Ciri, nothing is working. I typed "god", "god()", "healme", "killall", addabl(Ciri_Rage), and nothing at all is taking. The console does not appear to be active while I am in this damned fight. Ciri just gets swiped by some drowner or wild hunt animal and dies... over and over again. In once case, I managed to kill perhaps 5 enemies which took me several minutes of charging around, only to get killed by the 6th. It was exhausting.

Is this because I am in the middle of a fight? Does god mode not work while in a fight? Is there another reason? Is there a console command I have to type with Ciri's name in it? If not, is there any way I can complete this scenario automatically or type a command to advance out of it without winning this fight? How the hell do I activate god mode or any console command here to get out of this?

Please help ASAP. I am really STUCK!

you should be able to blink to distance then engage one by one land some hits blink away rinse and repeat. lots of blinking needless to say but works. what's difficulty level?

If "blink" is the action of Ciri zooming forward at lightning speed then stopping,I have been doing that every few seconds during this fight without success. As soon as I stop, the hoard of enemies swarms toward me. I try hitting one or two of them a few times and blinking away, but my sword is doing little damage and as I swing with 6 or more Drowners next to me and hitting me, I am getting creamed. Damage drops my vitality way down and I try to recover by blinking to the edge of the battleground, they immediately chase me. I am exhausted.

Please - is there a way to just activate console god mode with Ciri during this fight? If not, why not? Isn't god mode a legitimate console command?

You say you are on your fifth play-through...how did you get past where you are now in the last 4 games?

you dont need god mode.


YOu dont have to kill everything to progress. All thats needed to progress is Ciri reaching a certain point on the map.


Ciri reaching that point will start a cutscene. Which will progress the story.

YOu can go that route. Just blink to where that cutscene starts.


Its in the direction Ciri is running when you gain control of her after the cutscene of her escaping through the window.


But if you absolutely want to kill everything.



The command for god mode in the witcher 3 is simply god. Thats all. type god and hit enter. If you do and it doesnt work then it may not work for ciri or some other reason i dont know.


But the command is simply god.

Wait. Are you saying I don't have to kill all those 7 or 8 drowners and wild hunt creatures? All I have to do is find the place Ciri should be running to? Maybe that is how I've played this game four times before. Maybe I just forgot about the location she has to run to. I'll try it now. Thanks

Yep. Hope it worked for you. I just ran like the wind in this section.

Helen: Thanks. It worked great. I just looked at the map, found the arrow showing me the direction I needed to go, and ran there. Got out of the jam Thanks.

It is an odd way to think but sometimes you just have run.
