I'm hoping this was a joke lol. Sick of the PC crap. Ciri is described and portrayed pretty simply with Ashen hair and green eyes, changing the character for the sake of diversity is dreadful. Honestly they could still include black characters and such, they could incorperate some Zerrikanians for example but changing core characters for diversity purposes is the wrong way to go :(

i dont care for visuals or what's in book. book to movie conversions suck most times anyway. what matters's whether they make compelling story or not. if yes great. it doesnt have to be sapkowski's.

So basically they're not even allowing ethnic polish people to audition for an iconic polish character.

Thank you. I seriously hope that the ops orginal post is wrong, because its insane to only want a minority for a character that is white in the books and game and honestly I don't have a problem with them casting a minority but specifically searching for one and not wanting white people to audition is idiotic.

In the USA (Netflix) all the miniorities together make up roughly 40% of the total population. So it's actually not at all idiotic or insane to cast a leading role like that.
And that they use the girl for that is also the smarter choice.
