To Sell or To Dismantle?
Hello everyone,

A bit of a noob question here, but is it generally better to sell unwanted swords/armour or pay to have them dismantled? I'm new to the game, and I don't know what swords/armour I'm going to stick with and upgrade. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty, if that makes a difference.

Thanks alot for the help,
JollySam

dismantling items is for getting crafting materials you can use to craft other items. I.e you dismantle a sword you will get crafting materials some or all of which you can use to craft a different sword

selling the swords/armor you will get money.

I will say this. as long as you loot everything. theres plunty of crafting materials provided to you through looting to make anything and everything you will try to make in the game.

Unless you are going to try to craft everything possible in the game. the game provides you with all crafting materials you will need without the need to dismantle anything.

I never dismantle anything. I always just sell.

But like i said i dont try to craft everything thats possible.

Hey, thanks alot.

I'm probably not going to craft everything, so it sounds like selling is my best option then.

Thanks again.

Be careful not to sell everything though, certain items like sea shells are far more valuable when dismantled into pearls/black pearls which be sold for a sh*t ton. Also some of the late game armours also dismantle into slyzard/draconid hides (I forget which one) but this is super important for crafting some items such as mastercrafted witcher gear in toussaint.
