I stopped my first vanilla play through because vanilla combat is terrible, boring, then found/installed ghost mode which makes managing stamina really important. No looking back... It does so much more, read the entire description.

That said, GM may be closest to vanilla, besides stamina it does not try to dramatically change the game, only correct significant silent bugs that few know about.

I might try some of these, after my current NG+ run. I'm a Souls "veteran" myself :D
Should i give Ghost Mode a try? I have a few other mods installed right now, but nothing huge. Love this game.
Also sorry for invading this discussion:D

dont forget to get the mod that allows lore-friendly meditation, will force you to carefully prepare before every encounter because you won't be able to drink stuff in the middle of combat.
good point!
i just totally ruin my modpack by some weird script merging, then i just reinstall game and start again from scratch :D ..i will check if it is not in W3EE already and then add that there if its needed.

tbh: im planning to NOT use potions and oils and so.. like before, because i feel they was overpowered. but..i will see.

thank you

what aspect of vanilla DM do you think is more trivial? that's what you're supposed to "fix" :)

difficulty and combat

anyway.. i think i will use Ghost Mode :D because W3EE dont work with lot of other mods and.. it is probably too much to have 3 keys just to change stance and so..

or i will try The Witcher 3 - Redux

AFAIK there is no effective mod manager for W3, I have always done so by 'hand'. There is a very good mod merge tool, but you have to know how to properly edit scripts to resolve conflicts.

Yes, if you have read the books then lore friendly meditation should be on your list :D
