Possible to score Blood & Wine Unseen Elder vampire gear without doing mission?

I played through Blood & Wine doing the What Lies Unseen quest, but made a save just before meeting Regis on the dock. This choice leads to Anarietta and Syanna dying so I went back to the save and did the Beyond Hill And Dale choice instead. Since I still had the magic stone from Orianna I went to the Unseen Elder's cave thinking that I'd score the nifty red vampire armor set. However, as soon as I got to the main chamber, the Unseen Elder appeared and wasted me. Does anyone know of a way (other than console commands) to get around this and be able to explore the caves?

From my memory, you can enter the cave (after completing syannas path) and get a few articles of the vampire armor… but not the complete set. For that you’d need to have chosen the elder path cause it’s deep in the cave. And there’s no way to pass under the elders radar unnoticed.

There’s really no other way other than console commands(I’ve never done it myself, so I’m not 100% certain)

I left the cave entrance open out of spite, hoping that outside noise would travel in and disturb the bastard, although I guess poor innocents could wander in.

i dont hink thats possible but a black version of the armor is in the hall where you give blood to regis for that potion (i think it was in the chest wich regis stands at at the beginning)

I got the black Tesham Mutna armor, it's the red Hen Gaidth set that appears to only be found in the Unseen Elder's cave, meaning to get it you have to sacrifice Syanna. I was hoping for an alternative.

The alternative is to use a mod and buy it from a shop. I forget which shop mod, but one of them sells literally all items in the game, including stuff you can miss (permanently).

you can get part of the set, but I think the chest piece is past the point of no turning back.

That choices have consequences is something I really like about the game. While the red armor looks pretty fine displayed in my front hall, I decided that it's not worth letting Syanna die.

The flipped gravity section of What Lies Unseen was fun to do.
