Also, Royeen will tell you about the Ghost mod.
Anyway. Download them from Nexus, create a folder in the main game folder called "Mods" without the quotes and dump everything that you downloaded from Nexus, after extracting it's contents, inside that very folder. Beware: Some mods go to the DLC folder. Always read the descriptions.
And do yourself a favor and download the Script Merger and the Mod Limit Fix. Good luck.
then there is brutalblood u should install, i personally use a geralt cape mod aswell it looks cool a f , improved particle system, glowing eyes, Beautiful grass mod u find the install instructions on the mod pages on nexusmods
how about reading the mod description.
1. Swords on hip(carry your weapons how you want) lets you customize how the weapons are placed on geralts body. I.e you can change it from the swords on back to having the weapons on geralts hips. Along with animations for the different position of the swords.
2. Shields: adds shield functionality, a bunch of wearable witcher 3 npc armor, a bunch of witcher 2 armor sets and some cloaks.
3. Hoods: adds wearable hoods and some cloaks to the game.
4. New Hairstyles and beards for geralt(improved dlc2): Adds some npc hair and beards and fan made hair and beard mods to the game so you can have more choices for geralts hair and beard at the barber shop.
I never play without these 4 mods now.
As far as how to install them take entirely to long. There al easy to install. Just read the instructions given on the mods page. and follow them.
It's best to ALWAYS install your mods manually. Cheers.
I'm finding the Witcher Mod Manager (available on Nexus) works fine.
I will only be using HD Rework, Autoloot and 9000 Limit mods. Will I still need Mod Limit Fix? (It looks complex) I have placed Script Merger in folder.
And you don't place the Script Merger in the mods folder. You keep it somewhere else, such as the desktop. Then you run it, if needed.
Fasttravel anywhere is good, but can screw up quests. Auto apply oils saves you a lot of time and is a nice feature.
And then there is that one mod that fades out UI elements that are not in use. It adds a lot of immersion, but needs some setup. I dont remember the name.
Unique trophies is good mod as well.
Just don't fast travel if you're in the middle of a quest. No issues.
