Baron or Witch? either/or? Or can we do both? *Spoilers*
I'm new to the game.

I'm at the point where I'm in Velen. I'm at the point where I'm to investigate the Baron or the Witch. Not sure if we're just supposed to chose 1 or can we do both? I started out looking for the witch. Found her and made the choice that we'd meet up later at the cave. One of the reasons why I chose the witch was because it was recommended for a lower level than the Baron. But I leveled up and I switched to the Baron. I just talked to the Old Man and he gave me directions.

My question is can we do both? Or do we get to solve only one before being forced to move on? I really liked the Witch. She was sexy as hell. I'd like to help her out. But I dont like the description of the Baron nor do I like his men. They seem rather brutal. So I'd like to wipe him out and help the locals at the same time. So I kind of need to know if this is an either/or scenario or if I can happily do both?

I'm loving it so far. I can't seem to stay away for long. I'll go check out a couple question marks(POI) and see if I can get a helpful answer before progressing any further.

Not talking about those two specifically: there are quests in the game where not everything is as it first appears. Some situations are hard to decide who to favor and sometimes you'll make the wrong decision. I think it's awesome, not just "kill 10 foozles" like quests in other games.

You could make a habit of saving/reloading often to get the "best" outcome. Or (like me) just decide and live with it and read up after the quests what other outcomes there were available.
