Quickest Way to get 1,000 Crowns?

I need to board a ship to sail to Skellige and well please let me know the quickest way too, thanks!

How do you not have it? Are you trying to go their early? Skelliga is meant for you to go to after you completed velen and novigrads story line.


So you would have white orchard, velen, novigrad worth of main quest, side quest, contracts, and points of interest to make money by quest rewards and selling loot.


All of which should net you way more then 1,000 crowns.


but to answer the question. You could do an exploit if you really want to get it real quick. This exploit does require some money however. And i have no idea if it they took this exploit out of the game as i never used it. So i cant tell you if it still works.




This exploit can earn you 1000 crowns per minute. You must buy shells from a merchant in Novigrad, then dismantle them and then sell the pearls they contain for a higher price. It works like this:

Step 1: Go to the merchant at Hierarch Square in Novigrad. Buy all his Shells and Sea Shells. Buy as many as you can, his inventory will replenish if you exit the shop.
Step 2: Go to the armorer right next to the merchant. Dismantle the Shells to get Pearls and Black Pearls.
Step 3: Sell the pearls to the armorer until he runs out of money.
Step 4: Meditate for 5 days and the armorer will have roughly 1000 coins again. Sell Pearls to him again.
Step 5: Repeat.

I just have reached lvl 10 and got 3k orens. So idk how you have shortage on that. If you want to have it very quickly, you can use the debug console (enable it by a mod). There is a function that adds you # amount of orens directly. Just look for that how-to somewhere on the internet.

I'm agreeing with others here, how do you not have the coin at this point? I had tens of thousands of Orens.

You are either going too early and rushing the game, or you have not been picking up loot (treasure, weapons and armor etc) and selling it to merchants... which you should be doing and should have been doing all along.

I just realised that I got confused with the currencies ingame. The main currency is "crown" while there is "oren" and "floren" ... (of which according to the description is only tradeable at novigrad banks)

They could have done more with this currency, giving a level of realism because this or that currency may be more "accepted" towards other ones when trading with merchants.

Strangely enough I only have 250 Crowns, I may just take my time and do side quests and hunt beasts etc.

why dont you get a loan from the vivaldi bank(or something like that) in Hierarch Square (Novigrad). He's right on the corner of the square. get a loan from him, then pay it back with interest.

You might have more money than you realize if you haven't been to the bank in novigrad to exchange all the foreign currency you get yet
