Should I sell those animal hides? or have to keep'em for better armor

Wondering if those hides may require later on, so should I keep'em or sell'em. anyone knows who can tell that whether these hides would be required later on for best armor crafting? Too much load those are carrying. i could keep it in stash but, if not require then why not sell'em. I am currently at NOVIGRAD so could get best price for'em.

id sell them... all the top tier grandmaster level (or equivalent) armors mostly use the "infused slyzard hide" (or just the slyzard hide) ,, all those goat, horse, etc hides are useless. you can keep some of them to your liking.. but mostly its the hardened leather or leather straps that come in handy in crafting armor.

You can turn those hides into different leather components for armor crafting. You can also sell pig hides for a tidy profit in early game. Other than that, there's not much use for them. IIRC, the cow hide exploit for getting rich really early on got patched out.

It's conditional. It only happens if you go to Oxenfurt with more than 30,000 gold. If you have less than that amount, he won't appear.

It really doesn't matter. Hides are easily acquired, leather is cheap, and in vanilla you have oceans of money and junk to sell for even more money.

Sell them, personally you'd be better saving up the cash to buy the special hides and that close to end game

That explains the first question of the tax collector. I was actually surprised and did not know what he meant with that. Even with Ghost Mode's balanced economy, it is not difficult to be rich ingame. I am level 16 sitting on 15k crowns because I like to do all missions and side-quests before proceeding further. Fortunately Ghost Mode also tweaked the quest experience reward, otherwise I could be high level, making the game far too easy.

Ghost mode? It's an overhaul mod that tweaks basically everything ingame. It is possible to add it in your current game save, but I should follow the advise and install it if you intent to start with a new game.

I just lied and said I never looted peoples' houses or did anything else wrong and he let me go with an award for being such an outstanding citizen...LMFAO :)
I was ready to fight him and the whole town if necessary to keep my gold, but it never came to that...and on that note, why do they make town guards / soldiers so much more powerful than some of the bosses in this game? It is so stupid. I would really like to just kill all the guards, soldiers, and witch hunters in this game but they don't really reward that and they make it so difficult to kill those dudes for some reason. Guess it would be game breaking and violate Geralt's moral code or something

yes last day I tried to kill but at the end what I received was a damaged STEEL SWORD , costs 100 crowns to fix it !! means total loss
