How to kill the fetus monster?

every time he reaches 1/3 health he summons wraiths and regenerates his health at great speed and I don't know what to do...

Note: I've always been a console gamer and this is my first action game on pc and I'm playing it on the hardest and it's been relatively easy but in this part I just got lost and I don't know what to do.

Make sure that you're using a silver sword (rookie mistake I made) and I believe you should focus on the wraiths first and make sure to keep using Axii on the botchling (fetus baby). Hope this helps <3

what I did was
use the sign kill the ghosts and focus on the fetus

but when it went back to 1/3 it comes back regenerates life

I managed to reach this part 3 times in a lifetime

I don't know if I'm supposed to do something specific to advance

and yes he was using the silver sword he had just bought
I think it might be a bug in the save

I don't know if you're done but if you're still having trouble just keep spamming Yrden (helps kill wraiths easier) and yeah just focus on the wraiths and make sure you Axii the botchling so that it doesn't heal itself. You can always turn the diffuculty down (dont' recommend just keep going lol) :>

OP, there's two different signs you should be using during this fight, and they need to be used at different times. Yrden slows down the wraiths and makes them physical so you can kill them. But when the botchling starts healing itself, using Axii makes it stop. Sound like you were using Yrden when you needed to be using Axii.

my problem is not the fight itself

but the fact that it regenerates again and again

and I think it's buggy because the gameplays I saw it doesn't happen repeatedly

but with me it turned him into an immortal being

Yeah this was a very annoying and hard quest! I had 12 tries to kill the wratihs, I will suggest level up, Use Quen sign a lot with Yerden and apply oils to your sword. This help me, and also use swallow to regenerate your health quickly. Hope it helps

And when asked whether or not to kill the botchling dont kill it rather turn it to lumberchin or whatever it is called, killing wraiths is easier, cause once the bothcling transforms into that monster and you lower his health he starts summoning wraith which makes things worse. IN SHORT DONT KILL HIM, KEEP HIM IN HIS BABY FORM AND FIGHT THE WRAITHS!!

in the end it was just buggy

I went back to the save and did it on the same level, strategy etc.
and he only regenerated 1 time

I would just evade the wraiths and hit the fetus monster, spamming quen constantly. This wasn't the best strategy to beat it, but the only one I could have though since I wanted to kill it so bad.
