Glowing blue parts on Viper set

Has anyone found a fix for this ? I think it appeared with B&W new dyable armor textures. I know there is a mod on Nexus to get old textures but you can't dye your armors anymore.

Mmh the problem comes directly from the texture or the meshes, something like that. It has nothing to do with settings or my monitor, lol.

It has to do with blood and wines dying system. In order to make non blood and wine armors /equipment dyeble there was a patch.


this patch causes the blue textures on armors thats wasnt introduced in blood and wine. Your system can affect how noticable the blue is. which is likely why xwr said what he said about monitor and settings. Cetain settings can make the blue less noticable. Not really a fix but more of a way to not notice.


theres mods that specifically fixed it for kaer morhen armor but i dont see one specifically for viper.


However there is a mod that reverts all witcher armor to there original colors meaning original textures. This would likely fix the problem because your reverting the armors texture back to before they were changed for the dye system.

Sure he was trying to help but the game without AA and AO is absolutely disgusting. I have HD reworked project, Immersive lightning and some others. The point is not to ruin the game to make a detail less noticable.

Your link is what I was referring to in my first post, it seems there are not a lot of solutions. I saw an optional mod on Besserwisser page "modZBesserwisserOldColors_experimental". It should restore old textures while keeping the dyeing system. I'll try it. Thanks anyway.

Sadly "modZBesserwisserOldColors_experimental" is not the best solution in my case. I use HDRP and some armor fixes. Both of them change armor models and textures so it becomes difficult to merge everything correctly. I guess I'm stuck with that weird blue texture...

remove hdrp 12 and test. And do not merge non scripts. When building big modlists it's normal to have hundreds of non script conflicts. You just set proper load order. Hdrp 11 does not have armor edits and frametime stability issue.

Thanks for the suggestion but it didn't change anything. This problem exists in vanilla. I even saw some people talk about it on PS4 version. I spent some time to order well my mods with priority list and I merged only what was required as said on mods description.

It seems there is no real fix for this. So, I chose to install old armor textures with Besserwisser and this mod to have matching grandmaster armor textures too : https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2879

I can't dye armours anymore but textures quality is better overall.
