Main Quest: Echoes of the past bugged!!

I cannot progress in the game anymore! The foglets never appeared and talking to Yennefer does not do anything. She responds by saying "yes" and remains standing there. I have searched online for solutions with no avail. I do not have the Mask of Uroboros in my inventory yet, because I am supposed to get it after I help Yenn kill the foglets which have not/will not appear). I have tried meditating, meditating but stopping mid way, riding/running around, reinstalling game, fast traveling, and talking to the druids. I do not have a past Save game. Any Ideas?

loaded an old save. Started the quests again. Same problem..

Did you ever figure this out? I ran into the same issue but didn't think much of it so I just went and did like 20 more hours of sidequests and treasure hunts and came back and it still isn't fixed, so I would really love to not have to load a save game from 2 or 3 days ago and lose all that progress.

yes, several.

My money's on it's possibly interaction with those mods... :/ For example fast travel mod known to screw up several quest triggers. Does it work with no mods?

I removed all my mods and walked back to her but it was still stuck. Loaded an old save before 'kill the foglets' and went back and it worked fine. Lost 4 levels and about a dozen sidequests/completed contracts but oh well.

No I did not use any mods. Had to restart the game from scratch

Don't use mods seems to be what they settled on, but this is also a 7 year old thread. I just did this quest today, no mods, and had no issues with it.
