Achievements not unlocking 2021

So I have been through the internet looking for answers and it seems that every other year posts about achievements not unlocking crops up. Here's another!
I have gathered ALL NECESSARY fellows for Full Crew yet the achievement hasn't unlocked. I just added mutagens to ALL SLOTS yet the achievement hasn't unlocked.

I have tried to reload the game and redo the last recruitment, and reload and remove/add back mutagens. Nothing happens.

Suggestions?

Edit: Currently going through all the achievements and there are plenty more missing. The hidden Skellige (story related) are missing. I did have issues with the game when I first went to Skellige. The game refused to save and I didn't notice until after 2 hours of gameplay. I had to go back to a previous save and do all of it again.
Maybe that triggered the issue here.

Same issue here. I decided to play the DLCs today after beating the main story over a year ago. Finished the Hearts of Stone DLC and didn't even unlock the "unmissable" achievement for finishing it (Pacta Sunt Servanda). Not too sure what the issue is as I was getting achievements last year no problem. I am just going to move on and finish the Blood and Wine DLC anyways but it's a bit of a bummer.

Last time I got an achievement was in May of this year. It was Necromancer.

I have a few quests left until the base game is finished. But I feel little joy in finishing if I can't have any achievements. I am certainly not going to run around destroying monster nests, do horse races and all those things if I don't get the achievements connected to those actions.

I have just started playing about a week ago and I am having the same issues, I have not received a single achievement yet in my 18 hours of gameplay. I feel like I should have at least received 1 achievement so far. It kind of bums me out that they seem to not be working, but at least I am not the only one having issues...

Same here, I'm in Skellige now and did a lot of side quest, but only have 5 achievements unlocked. No mods, all DLCs...

Try completely uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, I just recently redownloaded and starting playing again without any issues. And dont forget about letho for the followers

Would it work if I saved my save before reinstalling? That is the only reason I haven't done it.
The actual followers are not the issue. I have them all but the achievement won't pop anyway.

update: I have reinstalled the game and even completely deleted all my saves from previous install and started over, still nothing. uhhh... I guess I will try a different computer...

I gave up and sent the developers a report about it on their website. Uninstalling didn't work for me either.

I am able to get achievements, as I have gotten multiple the past weeks in my modded game. Aside from one glitched achievement, from my side, I can only say that it works.

Could be. Your save game may be glitched. But a best bet is to check if your anti-virus client is not having problems with Witcher 3 game. The reasoning for this is that the game is written in a different programming language (Python) than Steam's API package (C++) where achievements are managed, this kind of action may be seen as an "intrusion" of program code.

Just found a thread in the Death's Door discussion area about people having the same issue with that game. Several games, if you just general search Steam's Help "Steam Achievements not unlocking" pop up.

It would seem some games are having problems if:

1) Steam cloud saving (haven't seen a reason why yet on this one from a Dev)
2) Actually playing offline.

Some have found that if you completely shut down steam (some people just X the corner and not File, Exit - So Steam still running) and reboot it fixed it for them post the most recent Steam Update.

The offline or a cloud save seem more like the probable cause at this time across a couple of games. The one above and Fallout 4 (#?) seem to be effected that I've seen on a search. But there are other games.

I have only played Witcher 3 through Steam while online, so that one can't be the issue. I shut off the computer every single evening so Steam can't possibly be running. Steam Cloud might be an issue though. I have not investigated that one.

I don't use steam cloud myself. It may be a factor yes.

update 2: I decided to see if the issue continues with another computer, my secondary computer is Ryzen 7 2700x, gtx 760 2gb vram, 32gb of ram. decided to use steam's "backup and restore games" feature to backup the witcher 3 game files from my main computer to an external ssd to then use the feature on my secondary computer to restore it, i also copied my save files from my main computer as well. loaded a save file just before you get into a fistfight with some guards because you can get an achievement for doing 10 counterattacks and supposedly it's easier to get the achievement in a fistfight compared to doing it with a sword literally was doing the counterattacks and boom achievement popped up... so my thoughts are "wtf is causing it to not work on my main computer... weird."
so I disabled/ end tasks on task manager on my main computer of programs that I thought I would not need for playing witcher 3 things like intel driver and support assistant, logitech webcam software, steelseries software that is for my headset, my phone app, and two other logitech programs. One of them was some kind of logitech crop service thing and some other logitech software service near it on task manager list, and then launched witcher 3 and was able to get an achievement! (the one for winning a fistfight without taking damage). So i want to think that a background program that was possibly running before is causing the issue? very very interesting...

I had this issue too - I disabled both the steam cloud save manager and the Logitech G Hub and then achievements started to unlock again! :) big relief

Wish there was a way to test if things are back to normal. My advanced save won't unlock achievements and my new save will require some major advancement to unlock achievements I have left.

I did contact the devs but wasn't given any useful help. Only questions of what I have done or haven't done.
