Question about unique items and non-craftable items in general.

So I recently got Princess Xenthia's sword and Addan Deith. They both look really awesome but are rendered useless because of my Giffin School swords.

These items only appear to be able to be looted a limited number of times and cannot be crafted, should I just dissassemble them or will they be gone permenantly? And if I sell them to merchants will they eventually despawn from the merchant's inventory?
And do the Witcher sets look better at higher tiers because the Griffin set is kinda boring to look at?

the witcher set looks "different" as you upgrade them and yeah witcher gear pretty much makes them all redundant as you progress. do what i do dont use witcher gear. you will find and earn as you go diagrams for magic and relic items, and you will probably find you come across another Princess xanthias sword at a higher level as you go not sure about addan deith tho.

Okay, thank you, quickly though, is the supply of the swords limited? Or do chests restock?

no the chests do not restock so once its gone its gone, I'm pretty sure tho that if you sell relic item to a merchant/smith it stays in their inventory, but buying them back is a daft idea. so if you think you may want to keep it just stash it

Just got another Addan Deith from a Grave Hag and I'm the same level...

lol 1500 hours in this game and i only just found that in my latest playthrough.

yeah its really just cash value isnt it but my lataest game playing without using any witcher gear I actually have been able to make use of some, I even made use of The Emmentaler.
