Slow leveling?
Why is it so hard to gain levels in this game? I've done almost every quest there is but I still haven't even reached level 29. Some quests and many items require level 30+ and I got those early in the game. Whenever I complete a quest or a contract I get like 3 exp, and nothing from killing enemies.

Main story quests give most xp. You have to realise that at lvl 29 you‘re getting close to a normal ending level for a first playthrough. Getting beyond 50 is pretty uncommon, I think (but not impossible .) Go to Toussaint and play the main quests of the B&W expansion.

You got to stay ahead of the grayed out quests and mobs. After each and every quest i finish I go to my quest log and chose the next lowest lvl one and keep at it till my quest log is filled with quests that are my level of higher. Plus there's also a setting that will allow you to keep all the mobs around your level as well so you will keep getting exp for the kills.

The game is very balanced where it comes to leveling up, if a quest requires a higher level then level up continuing the main quest, should focus only on side quests that are within your level and eventually you will be leveled up enough for that quest or for that armor you want to craft. Optionally, If you want you can focus on the DLCs main story at some point and get overpowered if you then decide to return to the main story, but it takes the challenge out of it.

That's what I've been doing the whole time. And I don't even care about being overpowered, I'm just trying to wear the gear that I made.
