downloaded both downloads needed for the mod manually. Unzipped both files.
first i did the amm 2.2 Menu inputs. After unzipping that. I copy the bin folder to the witcher 3 directory. Clicked replace when prompted. I then placed DLCAMM folder and DLCAMMHORSE folder into the dlc folder in the witcher 3 directory.
I then Copy the lines in the hiddenxml file in the download and pasted them ABOVE the LAST <\VisibleVars> inside the "hidden.xml" file.
Which is located in ...\The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc as instructed.
I then Copy the lines in the input file from the download and paste them to the beginning of "input.settings" which is located in <My Documents>\The Witcher 3 as instructed.
and lastly I Copy the lines in the inputxml file from the download and pasted them BELOW the first <VisibleVars> inside the input.xml file.
Which is located in ...\The Witcher 3\bin\config\r4game\user_config_matrix\pc as instructed.
that completes the install of amm 2.2 menu inputs.
All thats left is install AMM 2.2.1 Scripts and Horse mod. (Which is the part your told you can download using a mod manager. But doing so for me was what was causing the mod not to work)
So I also installed this manually.
This one is easy. YOu unzipp AMM 2.2.1 Scripts and horse mod and you get a folder called modAMM. YOu simply put that folder into your mods folder in the witcher 3 directory.
I ran script merger to take care of conflicts. done.
It seems my problem was that I was never prompted to replace the files. I re did the bin part and the mod menu shows up. The keybinds still dont work and eveyrthing is red so iguess there are still problems, but the mod menu was critical. Thanks!
Did you make sure you saved when you copied and pasted the lines in the files? IF you didnt save the changes to the files wont take affect.
Also double check you copied and pasted them in the correct places in the files.
Never called the mod author bad and I read the description. Next time instead of saying someone doesn’t know how to use something when they need help actually help them.
I’ve double and triple checked everything and I can assure you I did everything correct according to the directions on the mod authors page. I obviously don’t blame the mod author for anything it’s fine. Perhaps the directions should just be clarified because me and many others are having problems it seems. But I’ll do another fresh install perhaps it will work.
Some VERY Important Notes
The mod does not refresh appearances automatically upon closing the menu, you have to push the Refresh Button!
The First Run:
- YOU WILL BE INVISIBLE except part of the Neck. Go to Toggles enable your Head and Refresh.
My head do not appear even when ON!!
IF your head do not appear, Go to HEAD and move the Beard Selection Slider or Enable Bear Growth Mode and try refreshing again.
- Just for the first time, to load the Very First item on a slider (for example: Head > Head Gear Selection > Hood) Move the slider to another position and go back to it.(No need to exit the menu)
My Sets Are Clipping!
Keep calm and Toggle > Show Body > OFF, also be sure that you did not leave the same part of the Set Selected in both Witcher and Common Sets
AHHHH!!! My Eyes!!! "Everything" is Red!!
Indeed... Basicaly every Witcher Set, Hoods and some accessories from Geralt and Roach are Red.
For now(maybe ever), my mod bypasses the Dye System introduced in Game Patch 1.21.
So it loads their Diffuse textures as they are: Red and Blue.
Making it short ... If you need another color you will need Texture mods for that. Below what I recommend, for:
Hood, Capes and some Accessories - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/742?
Some other Accessories - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1133/?
Restore the Original Witcher Sets Colors - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1536/?
Sets Grandmaster to Default Colors - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1696?
The point of me posting this is. .... you have stated problems about the mod.............and in the mods page in the description such problems are talked about and said what you should do.
for example everything is red..........mod author addresses that as you may need to download texture mods to address this issue as the mod bypasses the dyeing system which is why witcher sets some assessories and others show up red or blue.
To fix this if you dont want the texture red. You need to download texture mods to fix it.
The clipping is also addressed.
Keep in mind you may have it installed correctly as instructed but your missing the instructions on how to deal with known problems with the mod.
