I played it once and I never plan to play it again. Story is good but the gameplay is all over the place. Polished in some aspects and oddly unpolished in other ways.
I played a ton of RPGs in my life. And The Witcher 3 is far from being within my top 3. It's a good game with great story but forgetable gameplay.
even though you say that game isn't perfect, you say it is a good game with great story! i love stories! maybe you think this game isn't for me because you assume i don't like stories but i totally love stories! and this game, everyone says, has a great story, just like you said too! so what is wrong exactly? why can't i enjoy it? is there something wrong with me?
and people say combat is fine too, unlike you! however i am bored with combat too! i love combat! defeating enemies is fun! swords are very cool! am i too old? am i drinking too much? are my GABA receptors not working? please explain, I born in this century so I want to enjoy what this century offers one of its bests - The Witcher 3!
why are you calling me a troll? because i want to enjoy this game? trolls just start flame wars and insult other people! i didn't do that!
The problem I think here is that you don't actually list your problems. Why is movement speed a problem?
How far have you gotten in the story? Are you just doing every side quest and skipping the main quest?
If you ask me. The main quest only gets S+ when you found Ciri and gone into Act 2 and 3. Until then you are just building up for that payoff and they handle that payoff very well. The build up, not so well. If you haven't gone to find Ciri I am not surprised you don't enjoy the story. Especially if you don't know that background.
yes, every side quest! i am taking a break on main quest to complete those, because if you don't finish all side quests in a game you are not a true gamer!
my problems are:
-i can't enjoy combat
-i can't enjoy dialogues
voice acting in this game is supreme! and people say writing is excellent. how come i can't enjoy dialogues? what should i do to enjoy dialogues?
Other than the passage of time, and more in-depth exposure to English, I've no suggestions for you on that count.

As to livening up the combat, I suggest rebuilding Geralt to be a signs/alchemist mix. The game is geared more towards a "hack and slash" play style, and the learning curve to *rely* on something other than your swords is quite a bit higher.
Perhaps get out and explore the map too. Finding hidden treasures and encounters in a game that are not listed in the quest journal or clearly marked on the map brings me a sense of discovery that is pleasing.
---
You might consider getting the books and reading them. Having a clear tie to Geralt's character and the overall story clearly helps. I don't think I'd have enjoyed Witcher 3 that much had I not already had a firm foundation in his story from playing games 1 and 2. You could do that...play those games to be more invested in finishing his story before picking up at this third installment in the series.
Just try again later.
I have been on and off this game a lot. Sometimes i feel it and get immersed and sometimes it totally bores me even if I love the witcher universe ( I loved 1 and 2, the books and the tv show).
For the movements, I really prefer playing with a controller and I really like the skill fleet footed to move better real close to the ennemies.
Also my personal advice and way of playing Geralt: try to not give too much of a damn about anything except Ciri, your friends, a good bottle of ale and a good game of gwent.
people love this game because the story is really well made, the
atmosphere of the gameworld..
the beautiful ambient music..
the superb voice acting..
it all comes togethet to deliver u a nice story driven experience.
go into settings and change control-mode to "alternate" it will make geralt respond better to movement input.
also if u havent poayed witcher 2, u need to give it a little time
to understand the story and get to know the characters..
when i played witcher 2 back in the
day it was a good game but a lil confusing. but it was worth it
at the
end. so when i started witcher 3 i was already knowing alot
of stuff and what to expect
ofc playing it today for the first time wont be as amazing as in 2015.. back then this was the best looking open world rpg
I enjoy the dialouges, the side quests and all the other stuff,
so when somebody tells u this game maybe isnt for u, it could actually be true.
Not everybody likes the same things, and i dunno how u could force yourself to like something
and i have never played witcher 1 or two or read any novels or watched the series so far.
I was a witcher virgin when starting witcher 3.
Im almost done with hearts of stone now. xD
Btw is the dlc blood and wine of the same shortness when it comes to the main quests and so on as hearts of stone?
blood and wine is alot longer. Ill put it this way if you compare hearts of stone length to blood and wine in terms of how much main quest side quest contracts things to do.
Hearts of stone is like novigrad and blood and wine is like skelliga. While novigrad does have a decent amount of stuff to do there. It pales in comparison to the sheer amount that is in skelliga.
The same way while hearts of stone has a decent amount of stuff in it pales in comparison to the sheer amount of stuff in blood and wine.
This is not to say either one is better then the other. Just saying blood and wine has way more content.
Blood and wine could be a game itself. Ive played full games with less content then blood and wine.
Even blood and wines main quest is longer.
