LOL WTF? Gays started a petition for a romance between Geralt and Jaskier in Witcher 4

The actual problem is that the character Geralt is not gay. In all Witcher-related media, both Geralt and Jaskier are straight.

If people want more gay representation in media, such as games, they should make new games with prominent gay characters. Retconning existing properties is out of the question.

validation definition in the way it is used there is recognition or affirmation that a person or their feelings or opinions are valid or worthwhile.


The need for validation for yourself comes from at the core self esteem. IF you feel you need validation it is because your self esteem is lacking. What you think about yourself is lacking.



And one of the things people who have low self esteem try to do. Is make everyone bend to them.


I was taught as a child i have the right to do anything i want. If i so choose to raise my arms and turn around in a circle i have that right . Until such a time my arm can hit another person. Invading their rights.



Gay people have a right to be gay. They have a right to live however they so choose. As long as it doesnt affect anyone elses rights.


Now we are not talking about rights here. We are talking about a video game. But my same point applies. This push for validation which is a result of their insecurity is affecting companies rights to make games how ever they choose to make it

Its not me who wrote this comment. I just copy-past it here. I have in no way problems with LGBT people. But as someone here already said is that Geralt is already a figure form books and games and we all know he is not gay. Instead of pushing the LGBT policy into already existing games and books (this would cause just conflicts between LGBTs and hetero fans of the lore), it would be better to create a new cool game with a gay as the main protagonist.

First off, I doubt Geralt will even be in the Witcher 4, I mean im sure someone on the dev team already hinted that it wouldn't revolve around Geralt if and when it does happen, secondly assuming its a progression forward in time, Danellion would be getting up there in the years and I doubt he'd suddenly turn gay. Also that is so out of character for Geralt it'd obviously be considered pandering.

Whether you like it or not, romance/love/sex is a big part of The Witcher.
