enhanced edition mod worth it ?

I've not touched this game since i completed in 2015, now i want to play the expansions.
I do remember that the vanilla combat was really "meh", does this mod fix that ?

Do you mean the witcher 1 combat system?

It changes the game dramatically (for example, removes levels completely). Combat is changed too:

"The Witcher 3: Enhanced Edition is a more skill-focused game with an emphasis on player involvement and control. It uses a manual targeting system by default to aim every attack at the center of your screen. Move the camera to aim your attacks as though you had a
crosshair on your display."

For me, its pinnacle of the action meele games. It drops Souls games to knees... work with stsmina, countering, alternate dodge... and living beautiful world to add....

I have not finished because the hight difficulty. But i will try it again with the lower diff. again.

In my opinion it transforms the game into a souls like. Which is the opposite of what a Witcher fantasy should be
