its actually trash. Quite frequently, there will be really annoying glitches. Normally occuring in fights, there will be times when the enemies just dont register anymore. you can swing and swing but its like they arent there. Also, sometimes you can jump/run/dodge anymore. These are normally fixed by dying and starting the fight over. but thats so dumb. game is old af. these problems shouldn't exist. Trash game. real trash here is steams 2 hour refund policy, though. Oh well.

Totally different genre. DS combat is incredible, but this is an open rpg. Open rpgs are clearly not a genre you frequent. This is the best combat I've experienced in the genre. I will eat my words if you can name me an open world rpg that has souls-like combat with the same level of nuance, ai intelligence, and tightness of controls.

Being 3 -4 levels behind has never been a problem with combat. In fact, it's ridiculously easy. I came into this game after finishing dark souls 3 and code vein. In w3, I have fought witcher contract monsters +7 levels above me when I felt like having a real challenge (albeit with ~5 tries). I only skip fights where I get 1shotted. If you can get through a DS game (which it seems like you did), your complaint should be that it's shockingly easy.

I'm one of the few that doesn't think the combat in W3 is trash.....it's not hard per se but establishes the power fantasy of playing as a badass Witcher quite effectively.

I didn't say its the worst, it's just not good. And using an example of a game made by the same team with an even worse combat system, isn't doing any favors for this game.

I have had 1 hitbox issue: That was when the enemys all just didnt register at all. I jsut had to let them kill me and start the quest over. But the glitches in this game are far reaching. Sometimes, I cant dismount my horse for example. I have to save, and reload a save game. Sometimes I can no longer use signs in combat. So i have to just die and start over. Also, I am very used to fanboys defending their trash games to their dying breath, no worries. It doesnt even phase me anymore.
