Gwent: Is the Oxenfurt armorer just good, or what?
I had zero issues beating absolutely everyone in Velen, including the Gwent quest, the Baron, everyone. Then I get to Oxenfurt, and I get my♥♥♥♥♥destroyed repeatedly by the fricking armorer. I actually tried to kill him in rage, but "you cannot attack this target." I am ready to give up on Gwent forever.

Edit: Can't beat this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fkn bartender either.

Edit edit: Beat the weaponsmith with no issue, though... hm.

Edit edit edit: The bartender is supposed to be hard. I can beat everyone else in the area except him and that damned armorsmith.

I don't think I have enough cards in any other set except the Northern set, but I do fiddle around with that depending upon opponent. I feel a little better after beating the weaponsmith!

They are tough depending on how far along in the story you are and what cards you have collected so far.

Well, I beat them all. I guess I was having crap luck before. Or maybe good luck this time. The armorer was still harder than the Oxenfurt Innkeep, who was supposed to be the best in town! Beat that Nilfgaardian Nobleman in Vizima, too.

it really depend on your deck.. its easy, when your deck counter his deck.. and its harder, when he counter your deck
and sjrekis is wrong.. here isnt any difficulty by your deck / cards / level..
they have still the same deck and their AI is still the same.

My deck is not super good! But I have it set up as best I can. I don't have enough cards in any other faction to make a deck out of them. (That would probably be even weaker tho.)

i use for whole gwent events northern deck with
2-3 decoys
2-3 spies
2 healers
2-3 horns
lot of catapults + 2 what boos self
ranged what boost self
melee what boost self
and some unique cards (what u dont need in fact, u can use strong ranged or melee
and leader what can clear winter, rain and fog

u can beat all with this lowcost deck

tacs is easy, bait opponent by playing your spies, using his spies aqgainst him (by your decoys, lost first round (or if he pass his turn and u can overrun him with 3 cards what can boost self (i forgot that card name, but its melee and have 4 power.. and boost self.. u have 3 at start i think) and use horn for that, do it..
and other winning round is by your catapults and horn.. u can use decoy/healer combo, when u get back cards what u lose when u bait him in previous round.

with 3 decoys and 2 healers u can get back 5 cards

if u need new cards, just go and play with all armorers, smithers, traders and barman (and ofc with story characters like baron

Go with nilfgaard, put all spies, all medics, all hero cards, one decoy, one scourge, one clear weather, one horn, fill the rest with 'doubling with count' cards and strongest cards you got until you satisfy the minimum number of cards limit and choose the leader card which goes with 'draw card from enemy discard'. Unbeatable. You only lose if your starting hand is four special cards at once with no spies. Should have about 34 card total with 197 strength(core game cards). Use only spies and blank cards from weakest to strongest(limit blanks with how many medic you got, leave medics to second turn obviously) at first turn, see if he will pass with low score, then either try to beat him in the first round and go full in the next round and win. Or lose one round and see his/her suffering with 8-10 card count difference throughout the rest of the two rounds and win.

Dang. That's savage.

I've got a pretty decent Northern Realms siege deck using spies, heroes, and biting frost. Seems to do pretty well under most circumstances and am excited to get some decent opponents! I have an okay Scoiatael deck, but it's not as good. Don't have enough monsters or Nilfgaard yet to experiment there. I'll keep this above deck in mind if I end up not being able to beat people in the long run.
