Make sure you have a little extra food even if you have swallow, make sure you're at least lv 15. Use you trap spell to make it take hits harder. Use flash bombs when it's in your trap to give you more time.

force it to fight in your trap. It will try to tempt you out, but just save stam for a trap to set it when it does decide to come.

Use quick dash over your big rolls, you need stamina up to keep her under threat of your traps. Use quen when need be.

You can use moon dust bomb also to make the apparition tangible for a time too.

Thank you very much. What are flash bombs ?

Thanks.
I used moon dust. Still couldn't defeat her.

Wraiths are essentially ghosts and you cannot hit a ghost. Using Yrden and its upgraded version, Magic Trap, to force it to materialize. It's the only time you can damage it. Then use Igni and be sure to coat your swoard with Spectre Oil. When it brings out level 1 wraiths, be sure to kill them quickly as they will take health from you and use it to heal the main wraith. This is basically the same method you need to fighting all wraiths in the game.

Huge thanks. How do I get the upgraded version ?
Yrden>hit 3x > dodge repeat
If she summons three phantoms, so she can restore some HP (even full), get away from them as fast as you can, but without losing focus. You'll see that the phantoms disappear and then you can continue the fight (and as other have mentioned, use the Yrden sign to inflict more damage, as well as potions and oils against wraiths).

Thank you. I'm using specter oil. anything else you can suggest ?
It's not a difficult fight at all as long as you prepare. If you have the Gourmet skill, that will make healing much faster (food effects last 20 minutes). Coat your silver sword in specter oil. You can't hit her if she isn't solid, so use either Moon Dust bombs or Yrden traps. For Yrden, cast, then tempt her over. If you jump out of the trap, jump right back in. There is no point attacking her when she isn't solid. Swallow will help your healing. Tawny Owl is good for stamina, so you can cast more often. Thunderbolt will let you hit harder, if you still have enough toxicity left. When her 3 mirror images appear, hit them AT ONCE. They drain your energy and renew hers, but they will go down with one fast strike. Then use Moon Dust or Yrden to make her solid again.

For almost all enemies, practice dodging rather than rolling. It is more efficient, places you in a better position to counterattack, and doesn't use up your stamina. The only time you should roll is against large enemies like draconids and griffins, to roll under their larger attacks, or to get out of the middle of a crowd of enemies quickly. I found it easier to swap my dodge key with roll, so space is my dodge.

Thank you. I made it. Eventually I used just one moon dust bomb. after a dozen of times that I used 2 bombs + everything else. I even forget about the specter oil. very strange.
as you can heard many time from Sheala de Tancarville "YRDEN, TRAP IT WITH A YRDEN!!!!"
I just add specter oil and a well timing dodges, jumps, and attacks. and you'll come out of it without damage like a BOSS
People suggesting high levels stop. I crushed her at level 6 with hit and run tactics on the 2nd difficulty. Use a bit of specter oil if you got any, and keep casting Yrden and slug the ♥♥♥♥♥ as she moves into that circle. The only real problem is the doppelgangers she summons, they suck the life out of you real fast. When she does that, it's predictable, get a good distance away till those doppelgangers vanish and repeat the cycle. Dodge a bit too.

Ya gotta master that dodge bruh D: Roll is meh is most situations, You should look into the skill trees and see what are good.
If you start using Oil a bunch, Poisoned blades is a must to get, it's under the Alchemy tree, I would also suggest getting Quen's Exploding Shield but its all up to you :D

Beating any kind of wraith is pretty simple, apply Spectre Oil right before the battle, get Yrden, drop Yrden first thing into the battle, Stay Inside Yrden throughout the battle, 2 Hits and Dodge usually works for most enemies, Kill the Summons first, STAY INSIDE YRDEN, Use Quen when you can but YRDEN is the primary skill unless you Moon Bomb.
That should do it.

This! Also, try to avoid running into the bandit camp nearby.

Congratulations! The key to fights in The Witcher games is to be prepared. Know your enemy. Apply oils and have potions and bombs ready, and master the art of dodging. Good luck on the Path.
