Uninstalling mods
Is it safe to uninstall mods or could it ruin your save similarly to Skyrim or fallout?

just wanted answers, instead I get two people argueing lol.

I'll just stay away from scipt mods.
I recently installed a couple of W3 mods through NMM. Easy as a bee. Now, as you're saying, it seems there is no warning, unlike in Skyrim and Fallout 4, if a savegame needs a certain mod or not.
I found it possibly dangerous at first. Then I deleted a few mods through NMM, and the game doesn't seem to hold any grief neither grudge against me... like it didn't even care.
Frustrating...

I installed mostly texture mods but I made a fresh install of the Witcher on a new SSD and I forgot to back it up. There's one mod I know I'm missing but I can't remember the name of it. I'm not getting any warnings on the same save when I start it up.
This really is frustrating...

Assuming you got the mods from Nexus check your download history to figure out what you are missing.

Generally you're perfectly safe to uninstall mods. I turn some on and turn some off throughout the game depending on where in the game I am, etc. Never has effected anything with my save games, but if you're worried about it, run a backup of your save games before you install / uninstall any mods.

Do mods disable achievements?
