THIS THIS THIS.
Seriously, don't use Vortex. Vortex has trouble managing the installation of mods and especially the mod menu labels whereas the Witcher Mod Manager knows how to handle mod packages. Save yourself the trouble of manual installations and use Witcher Mod Manager, it even comes packaged with a script merger for pesky compatibility issues.
Vortex has problems with mods that requires more than "paste it in yhe mods folder" but it also comes with a script merger and warns you at every change about using it.
