Gwent Bug? Two Unique Cards from Opponent
I'm playing Witcher 3 with Gwent difficulty on hard, with one mod that grants Triss a melee scorch ability, like the dragon. All other mods are graphical or reduce tedium (e.g., auto loot). So nothing else affects Gwent as far as I know.

What I've noticed is that some opponents are able to have and play two unique cards, like Dandelion or Avallac'h. This is quite strange. Maybe it is related to the difficulty setting? Why are they able to possess multiples of a unique card?

I have noticed in some games, to make it harder, the devs give the opponent more than the player can possibly obtain. For example, in Valkyria Chronicles, harder levels simply throw more enemies at you instead of making the AI harder or more strategic. AI is hard to improve to human levels, but if you give an AI more resources, then it's harder for the human to deal with.

So is this a bug or by design? (I still won where these oddities occurred!)

What do you mean they can play two unique cards? Do you mean the opponent can play 2 cards in one turn?

No, they can play two cards that you can only get 1 of. For example, they play Dandelion in 1 turn, then the next turn play another Dandelion! (Why? How?!) It's worse when they do Avallac'h twice, since that is definitely a card anyone should only have 1 copy of.

Ah now I understand. Well in the vanilla game no one has two unique cards of the same kind. It must come from your mod.

Are you sure it's not the same card which he might've recovered with a medic or decoy card ?

Could be, but in vanilla game Avallac’h is a hero card, which can't be recovered. So there must be something wrong

Right, my bad. Hero cards are immune.

I've seen the AI use two Dandelion cards, one after the other. Rather pointless, but there were two Dandelion cards on the row. And they didn't place any other melee cards.
