Gwent is an absolute waste of time.
Screw this game, seriously, who even came up with the idea to shove a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ card game into the game?!? Was dice not good enough? I didn't do anything Gwent related on my first playthrough because I didn't care, but the second, I want to complete absolutely everything, so I picked up Gwent quests too, to clear the notice boards. And I already feel like going nuts! Oh, great, play the Baron, "beginner" level Gwent, I win one round, then he wins one and in the last one he somehow gets a score of sixty-five while I barely got a twenty! The hell is this?!? Any particular reason why I should waste my time losing and losing again to "beginner" level players?

TL;DR: Screw Gwent. Dice were much, much better.

We get it, math is hard

Oh, you are so smart. Problem is, I have ♥♥♥♥ luck with RNG and I only have the basic cards. But whatever, I'm not gonna sit here and explain how I hardly ever happen to be able to line cards up the way I need to in order to win.

Okay well RNG is manageable. For one you want a small deck with lots of synergy so use the bare minimum of Unit cards, 22 I think. Use Spy cards for card draw because every card drawn is a chance to find an answer to your opponents move. The Mulligan at the start of the round is super important, you need to consider the probability of getting the cards you want if you mulligan.

Idk man, just don't get mad at an rng game. Poker is like this too and is widely celebrated because the element of skill comes from managing risk and mitigating your losses. Gwent is actually like that too.

I try to avoid using the damn spy cards like the Devil. I'm getting kicked in the teeth way too hard and humiliated anyway, think I'm gonna help the NPC to humiliate me even further just so I get a hypothetical chance to win? But when I do dare to use those cards, I end up with bloody weather effect/removal cards or Poor ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Infantries lol. Very useful. It's always a horrible trade-off. Same for the mulligan. I remove a weather effect card and my best chance is I get a Poor ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Infantry or some 2-3 card. Or another weather effect card. Always and always the same ♥♥♥♥.

Also, I would not play Poker if my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ life depended on it. Lol

Are you actually trying to learn the game, or you just like to complain about it ?
Here's an easy to follow guide to get you (re)started:

If you dont like weather cards, just remove them. 10 is the upper limit, not a requirement. Though i like them whe i need them.

Tactic: if the enemy has tons of close combat cards, then change your close combat cars with others and get some of those freezing weather cards and use them against the enemy. That helps.

Also remove cards with only 2-3 power. My only card with a power lower than 4 was the necroman... the medic one in my deck.

We have discovered the problem. You are using weather effect/removal cards and Poor ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Infantries. No wonder you hate spies.

Remove all weather cards from your deck. Use Foltest 2(clear weather Foltest) as your leader. Your opponents weather cards are now a liability. Bring an extra horn if you need it.

Remove useless crap units like Poor ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Infantry and Zagrin from your deck. Good luck beating 10 Attack hero cards with PFI.

By getting rid of all those bad cards, your spies are now actually useful.
