Vesemir in Heart of Stone

Okay so has anyone managed to keep Ves alive while playing Heart of Stone in NG+ ? I really want him to be alive when I start Heart of Stone but I need to be at least level 63 for that, and I'm 59 right now with only like 2 or 3 side quests left that have recommended level for 60. Provided I do them, I still won't hit even level 61, and the next main quest I have is the Isle of Mists which if I start will end with Ves dying before I can do anything else. Or do I have to try again in a non NG+ nee game later on? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks!

Yes there's just one dialogue with his former lover(can't remember her name) to whom if Ves dies, Geralt gives her the bad news. Since I've already did that, I wanted to give her a good news about him being alive during this play through !

I've done it in both NG and NG+. From memory in both cases I was somewhat underlevelled for HOG, I just waited until it was not red skull level.
You obviously don't have to tell the woman at the auction what happened to him which makes it a less depressing conversation and get to tell Vesimir that you met her and discuss it. Only a couple of lines though. You don't have to complete HOS to do this, just complete the auction quest.

Agreed. It was nice to be able to tell him some good news, but bittersweet already knowing what would happen anyway and that he would not get the chance to visit Oxenfurt and look her up.

Yeah I just wanna give her the good news before he dies and have that good chat with Ves about her. That's the only reason for the question but sadly I'm still shown the quest with a red skull.

I know it's bittersweet, but since I've already told her once about how he died like a hero, I thought this time around I might as well tell her and in turn Ves about the meeting !

Saying the time the dlc came out its obviously set for it to be the bad news, Although still intresting what she would say but honestly To much effort for something that doesn't matter you know.
